Dwight Jones
Director of Operations
Dwight H. Jones has acquired over 28 years in the aviation industry. Through the years he has been employed primarily as Director of Maintenance and Field Pilot for very successful helicopter companies. Upon Honorable Discharge from the Navy Mr. Jones has enjoyed a strong career as a Commercial Helicopter Pilot and FAA Licensed A&P mechanic as well as I.A. Mr. Jones has accumulated over 8,000 accident free flying hours. Performing both duties (Pilot and Mechanic) and being engulfed in the “trenches” of field assignments has lead to strong background in various aviation practices, ground support, logistics and operations.

- Assigned to Helicopter Combat Squadron HC-4 and LAMPS Squadron HSL-31 as Flight Captain and Aircraft Mechanic
- Attained Commercial Helicopter Pilots License in 1992
- 4 years duty flying helicopter on US Tuna Boat fleet in the Western Pacific
- Attained Commercial Twin Fixed Wing Pilots License in 2001
- Class C Commercial Driver License with HazMat and Tank Endorsement
- Founded Mountain Air Helicopters in January 2003
Ray Romero
Director of Maintenance
Ray Romero’s long history in aviation began in 1980 as aircraft fighter mechanic in the US Air Force. He quickly moved to aircraft Flight Engineer and acquired over 12,000 hours of flight tests and evaluations in this position. One of his other early duties included Transient Alert Service in Sembach Air Base, Germany. Mr. Romero retired from the US Air Force in 2001 and then worked part time at the Kirtland Flight Center. In 2002 he accepted a position with DynCorp while under a State Department contract and was assigned duties in Columbia. Other duty stations included Afghanistan and Iraq as a civil contractor, acting as aviation inspector and maintenance for Black Water/AAR and Gold Coast Helicopters. Mr. Romero’s long history in aircraft management, ground support logistics and leadership allows for great guidance to the ground support and logistics team at Mountain Air.
